240 W. Palmetto Park Rd., Suite 300 Boca Raton, FL 33432 1 (561) 338-3338 [email protected] www.aworldofwipes.com Established in 1991 in Boca Raton, FL, A World of Wipes emerged during a time when its founder, Avi Tansman, recognized strong potential in the wet wipes industry. A World of Wipes initially focused on driving innovation in categories that eventually became commodities, like baby wipes, incontinence wipes, sanitizing wipes and makeup remover wipes (now a multimillion-dollar category), however, the company always led in engineering unique wipes to solve specific problems. The family-owned and operated company now has five extensive product lines, with another set to be launched, in addition to its private label and contract manufacturing businesses. Throughout its history, Tansman’s problem-solving approach through wipes has been the driving force. In early 2020, a second-generation family member, Dean Tansman, joined the business. Over the past 33 years, many of the largest brands in the U.S. and Europe have had their wipes formulated, engineered and produced by A World of Wipes. In the wet wipes industry, A World of Wipes is dedicated to developing new products, concepts, formulations and implementing new packaging techniques. Manufacturing capabilities include individually packed wipes in a wide variety of sizes, canisters, soft packs, buckets, bulk refill rolls and other formats. The company has implemented a variety of new and improved packaging formats, as well as a wide range of cutting-edge formulations to solve even more unique problems. In recent years, it has also recognized the growing demand from its customers for a reliable fulfillment partner. Therefore, it developed and implemented a full-service third-party logistics division in its operations. Through it, A World of Wipes serves its private label and contract manufacturing customers directly with full vertical integration. Its 3PL operates primarily out of the Northeast U.S. Dean Tansman, director of operations, Unico ITC. dba. Dutch Harbor Brands & A World of Wipes, says the wipes industry has evolved significantly from its simple origins as basic nonwoven materials that was soaked in water and a cleaning solution. “Wipes now offer specialized, innovative and effective solutions for everyday problems,” he says. Nearly every category is booming, he adds, with home cleaning, commercial cleaning, cosmetics/beauty, hospitality and pet care in particular. “While each category has its own growth drivers, the primary catapult is that consumers are realizing how wipes can help them save their most precious resource: time. Whether at home, work, the gym, or out and about, wipes provide quick and convenient cleaning and hygiene solutions,” he explains. “In today’s fast-paced world, saving time appears to be more crucial than ever before and wipes provide a fertile landscape in which to create tangible value to consumers.” According to Tansman, consumer preferences are swiftly moving in the direction of improved sustainability, and the company continually looks to improve its sustainability practices as the industry evolves. “As this necessary trend influences the wipes industry, we expect to see global demand for earth-friendly wipes to continue to increase in volume and proportion of sales,” he adds. In embracing this new approach, A World of Wipes has been supplying alternative wipe products using natural formulations, 100% cotton, 100% viscose and recycled packaging materials for many years. Its in-house brands Wipex, Simply Wonderful and Natural Essentials are largely comprised of such products and their sales continue to grow. Tansman says there has never been a better time to be in the wipes industry. “There have always been opportunities and challenges in the wipes market. The key to success is understanding the market’s topography, trends and regulatory changes at any given moment, as well as the nuanced shifts in consumer and corporate sentiment.”
